12 years ago today Steve Jobs unveiled the iPhone at the Macworld convention in San Francisco.

The iPhone ushered in a whole new era of communications and technological advances for sure.  The anniversary of that event started my old computer between my ears to go into the memory banks.

Two prominent things from when I was a kid come to mind.  It was a huge deal to go over to a friends house to watch color TV.  It was almost as big of deal to have a touch tone phone.

Today, I simply shake my head to think most of us carry around more computer power in the palm of our hands than the folks at NASA did back when Neil and Buzz landed on the moon.  Hard to believe that was nearly 50 years ago.  By the way, when will we quit going in circles above the big blue marble and go to Mars?

The space nut in me that was born all those years ago is just wondering.  We have the technology.  We just need to decide to go!
